Notes:
These photos, taken June 4, 2021, a week after the plumbing company finished their so-called "remediation" work, document the state of the attic today. The management company and the HOA continue to be negligent about addressing the problem and disgusting mess left behind - going on at least 3 years.
Occupants of the building suffer and property values have gone to zero. Anyone wishing to sell his unit must disclose the environmental and health hazard posed by the presence of large amounts of feces and urine spread throughout the attic. There is hardly a person alive who would buy a condo in such a state.
As you can see, the plumbing company either purposely or incompetently left at least one raccoon latrine. There is no way they missed it as it is next to their attic entry point or path. They left all of the squirrel feces and urine throughout the building untouched.
It was discovered on review of photos that the varmints have also been chewing on electrical cables. The damaged cables bring fire hazard into the picture, as do the damaged firewalls.
The management company and the Board of Directors of the Association have been notified of the incomplete, shoddy, and unsatisfactory remediation effort. They have been notified of the electrical system damage. The Association's response was to cease all communication about the matter, turn it over to their lawyer - who obliged them by sending a threatening and intimidating letter to the occupant who reported and documented the disgusting infestation and mess. They've insinuated that an owner of a condo has no right to enter the attic to do inspection or maintenance work - a claim that is patently untrue according to the Declaration and By-Laws of the Association.
